Your CD collection will be picked up, and within a maximum of 4 business days (or a little longer if it's over 500 CDs), all your CDs will be converted into MP3s, loaded onto your iPod and onto any other external drive as requested, and delivered back to you. No problem.

Some technical stuff
At an MP3 codec of 192 kbps, each DVD in your personalized digital music library holds about 40 CDs. If you want CDs instead of DVDs, you can get them at an additional cost.

The default codec cdripping.ca uses is MP3, because it's the most widely used format and is supported by virtually all players.

Prefer something else? You can choose either MP3, AAC, WMA or others at no extra cost.

Our default bit rate is 192 kbps; it's an excellent compromise between sound quality and file size. Don't agree? You can choose any bit rate at no extra cost. We won't be offended.

At the default codec and bit rate, every 100 CDs in your collection requires approximately 13 Gb of free space on your hard drive.

If you have a scratched or damaged CD in your collection, cdripping.ca will make an initial attempt to rip it. If that doesn't work, the CD will be cleaned and cdripping.ca will try again, during which as many tracks as possible will be extracted. If we can extract 3 or more tracks from your CD, you will be charged for the entire CD.
